Christina Haack was conceived in Anaheim, California. She began her career as a real estate agent after she graduated from school. It was here that she made friends with Tarek. This couple enjoyed great success until 2008's stock market crash which resulted in a number of real estate investors and homeowners who were flippers fail. Tarek El Moussa as well as Christina Moussisa ended up losing everything as a result. Their apartment was just $700 per week compared to the $6,000 they had been paying per month for their home. The business and economy in general, slowly rebounded. HGTV & Rise to Fame Tarek enlisted an accomplice to assist in the production of an HGTV video audition in 2011. The tape showed Tarek and Christina teaming up to turn the inside of a home. Pie Town Productions' executives got hold of the tape. The execs were infatuated with Christina's story of love between Tarek and Christina. The couple officially signed a contract with HGTV in 2012. The series "Flip of Flop", premiered on April 13, 2013. Between 2013 and 2017 92 episodes aired over seven seasons. On the show, Christina and Tarek would buy properties, typically middle-income houses in Orange County, and would later spend a few weeks making upgrades so they could sell the home to make profit. Tarek does the construction and remodelling while Christina is focused on designing and making sure that everything stays on schedule.
