Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao, also known as Camila Cabello, was born on March 3, 1997 in Coj mar, Havana, Cuba. She is a Cuban-American actress, singer, and songwriter, with her name pronounced as "ca-meela ca-beyo". Cabello rose to fame as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, but she established herself as a solo artist while still in the group. She released collaborations with Shawn Mendes and Machine Gun Kelly, with the latter reaching number four on the US Billboard Hot 100. Cabello left the group in 2016 and went on to release her debut solo single "Crying in the Club". Her debut studio album, Camila, reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart and received a platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
